Born in Punxsutawney on May 30, 1926, Budd Kenneth Neff left this earthly life on March 1, 2016 in Webster, New York. He was a loving husband to Cecilia for 65 years and a great, hardworking dad to his children Glenda (Michael Chamberlain), Coleen (John) Contos, Tina (Neil) Krauszer, Michael, Jennifer Fonseca, Mary, and Christopher. He is also survived by a sister, Clara Mae Moore, fourteen grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Myrtle Ivy and Paul Emerson Neff, his brothers Paul Earl and Raymond Wesley, his son Patrick Raymond, and his son-in-law Héctor Fonseca.
A 1944 graduate of Punxsutawney High School, he served his country in the European theater during World War II, and afterwards with the war crimes tribunal and at US Occupation Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. Budd was proud to be a Punxy native. He shared many fond memories of his childhood and friends on Oakland Avenue and Groundhog's Day will always be a big holiday in the Neff family.
