Obituary of Robert C. Wiley

Webster: Friday, September 28, 2018, age 66.  He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dawn; children, Rachel (Dan) Kielon, Rebecca (Devin) Fioravanti, Devon (Lia); grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas and Nora Rose; mother Suzanne; siblings, Marianne (Larry) Knight, Eric (Carrie), Jane (Allen) Dingman, Joyce (Andrew) Mielnik, Hope (Frank) Koster; many nieces & nephews.

     He was an incredible man, living a full, rich life. For 29 years, “Cowboy Bob” was the warehouse manager at Chase Pitkin, a job he loved. He was a voracious reader and avid golfer. Music was always in his life – from singing in the church choir to playing handbells, to playing baritone in a Dixieland band.  No matter what his kids or grandkids were into, he was there. He fought his illness for 5 years, living to rehab and enjoy the family Adirondack cabin, play Augusta National, officiate his daughter’s wedding, bag two bucks in the same day, and see Tiger Woods win again.

     Friends are invited to his Memorial Service at 4:00 PM, October 11, 2018 at Webster Presbyterian Church, 550 Webster Rd. Webster, NY 14580.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation at https://themmrf.org.
