Obituary of Jack M. Taft

Webster: Passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, at the age of 91, surrounded by family. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Minnie [Shermer] Taft. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ida (Young) Taft; his children, Deborah (Kevin) Phillips, Andrew Taft, and Rebecca (Jeff Darrell) Taft; grandchildren, Corey Kummerow, Rachel (Zachary Nelson) Taft, Molly Phillips; sister-in-law, Marjorie Knebel; brother-in-law, Lysle Young; several nieces and nephews.

Jack was a retiree of Eastman Kodak Company and also worked at BOCES #1. Jack cared very much about his family and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a lifelong artist and had his works exhibited locally several times.

Friends may call 1-3 PM Friday, September 16, at Willard H. Scott Funeral Home, 12 South Ave., Webster, where his Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM. Memorials in Jack’s name may be directed to the Sunset House, 3746 St. Paul Blvd., Rochester, NY 14617.
