June Bundschuh

Obituary of June Bundschuh

June Augusta Bundschuh was born November 9, 1929, in Rochester, New York, to Mildred  (Kraft) and Harold Bundschuh.  She grew up on Brown St and Anderson Ave, and spent her working life at Kodak. Her older sister said when she was a child she would stick up for other children who were bullied. She was a talented artist who created numerous beautiful paintings on paper, canvas and wood as well as wrote poems, and had a beloved malamute named Reaba. She was always carefully dressed, decorated a lovely Christmas tree each year, and had a good sense of humor. As a child she would send me (her niece) into giggles as she'd dramatically come down the stairs singing the old song, Lili Marleen. When I lived nearby during college, she would have me over for family meals and helped me create a Halloween costume by making me a hoop skirt. Aunt June was always excited about attending the birthday celebrations for her great nieces and nephews, and she was meticulous about selecting the most beautiful clothing sets with which to bless them on their special day! She always showed a fondness for the little ones, and even went out of her way to conduct a special art project for some of her nieces and nephews who were homeschooling when they were quite young. As they grew, she connected with them over her “love” for the Buffalo Bills football team! She passed away September 24, 2024, and was predeceased by her parents and siblings Warren, Betty (Merzke) and Jack.  She is survived by her siblings Bill, Arlene (Figler), Mary (Bohn) and Mildred, and numerous nieces and nephews.  (As written by her niece, Pam Ferguson)
