Mr. Batzing was my favorite teacher from Bay Road Elementary School. My family often remembers that he wrote on my report card, "Leslie socializes too much during class." However, he made 3rd grade so much fun!
Yes, Mr. Batzing was one of my favorite teachers as well, and my Mom and he became good friends years later when he was the town historian. I just happened to think of him and googled and saw this sad announcement. A very good guy who lived a full and rich life and helped ignite the love of learning.
